What $109 once costs next to a seat that renews

BarionQuant pricing — Yearly selected, full cards, Standard $150/yr and Pro $290/yr

People search whether a Soft4FX lifetime license is worth it. This page answers the bill. It does not answer whether practice will make you profitable.

Direct answer

On 2026-09-21 their pricing page lists a Lifetime License at $109, then “/ +tax*”. The footnote says VAT, GST, or sales tax may apply where you live. The card also says 1 user / 2 Metatrader accounts. Every comparison below is against that $109 list price, before their tax. A tax on their side makes the cash gap smaller for a renewing seat, because you pay them more than $109. It does not make our seat cheaper on day one.

The same day, barionquant.com/en/pricing with Monthly selected showed Free $0/mo, Standard $15/mo, Pro $29/mo. Those monthly figures are not in the yearly frame. With Yearly selected, Standard is $150/yr and Pro is $290/yr. Free stays labeled $0/mo. The toggle reads “Billed yearly · save ~2 months.” The Standard card says member handbook. Under the cards, the page says learning content is included with the plan. The paid buttons say to sign in before buying. That frame is next.

BarionQuant pricing — Yearly selected, full cards, Standard $150/yr and Pro $290/yr
barionquant.com/en/pricing on 2026-09-21, Yearly selected. Free is still $0/mo, with public and registered learning articles. Standard is $150/yr and the card says member handbook. Pro is $290/yr. Both paid buttons say to sign in before buying. The toggle line says billed yearly, save about two months.
Soft4FX pricing — $0 and $109 plus tax, through the money-back line
soft4fx.com/pricing.php the same day. One column is $0. It checks “All features,” then crosses out 5 trades per simulation, 2 sample years, and no saving or loading. The other column is $109 / +tax, with 1 user / 2 Metatrader accounts, 10–20 years of tick data, and a 14-day money-back guarantee. The frame ends on that guarantee.

Cash against the $109 list price, tax excluded:

  • Seven months of Standard at $15 is $105. Eight months is $120.
  • One Standard year is $150. That is $41 above $109 in year one. Two Standard years are $300.
  • Three months of Pro at $29 is $87. Four months is $116.
  • One Pro year is $290. That is $181 above $109 in year one.

If you already use MetaTrader, you want the tick history they bundle, and you expect to keep practicing well past those months, their one-time list price is the smaller multi-year cash number. If you will stay on Free, or you will stop a monthly Standard seat in the first seven months, the renewing seat has not yet passed $109. Neither outcome is a reason to expect trading profits.

How to judge

What does the $109 include, and what does $0 withhold?

Their $0 column checks “All features,” and the same column crosses out only 5 trades per simulation, only 2 sample years of data, and no saving or loading. The $109 column says one-time payment, free updates, unlimited trading, 10–20 years of tick data, and a 14-day money-back guarantee, for 1 user / 2 Metatrader accounts. MT4 and MT5 are listed on both columns.

We do not ship that tick archive. We do not plug into MetaTrader. Our Free tier is also $0, and it is EURUSD practice on a Windows desk, with public and registered learning articles. Those two free offers are not substitutes.

How long do you expect to keep the seat?

Standard yearly crosses their list price in the first invoice. Pro yearly crosses it by a wider margin. Monthly Standard stays under $109 for seven months and crosses on the eighth. Monthly Pro crosses on the fourth month. After the crossing month, every renewal is cash they will not charge again.

Their pricing FAQ the same day says there are no monthly or yearly payments on their license: you pay once. It also says the simulator needs Windows, and a Mac means a virtual machine. BarionQuant has no Mac build either. Mac is not a reason to pick either product.

Do you want their simulator, or a handbook on the seat?

Their product is replay inside MetaTrader, bound to the account numbers on the license. Ours is a local training desk. The Standard card in the yearly frame says member handbook. The Free card says public and registered learning articles, not that handbook line.

If the decision is whether to leave MetaTrader at all, read “Leave MetaTrader to practice — or stay. How to choose vs Soft4FX.” If the decision is the install itself, read “Skip the MetaTrader install — or accept it.” This page is only the cash line between $109 once and a seat that renews.

If you are still choosing

Is the lifetime license “worth it”?

That phrase, on the results page, often means “will this make me profitable?” We do not know that, and this software does not pay it back. The only “worth” this page will touch is the invoice: $109 plus whatever tax your location adds, once, versus a seat you can cancel.

Do I need Pro to make the comparison fair?

No. Pro is the expensive path on our side. The close comparison is Standard. Pro at $29 a month passes $109 in month four. Pro at $290 a year is not the cheap seat next to a $109 license.

What if their tax is large?

Then you pay more than $109 for their license, and a renewing seat takes longer to cost more than that bill. We do not estimate VAT. Read the total at their checkout. Our public prices on 2026-09-21 did not add a separate tax line on the cards above.

Simulated practice is not a live account. BarionQuant is not a broker and does not send orders. Nothing on this page is a signal, a forecast, or a promise that a license or a seat will be earned back.

Download the Windows build if you want the desk. Open Pricing if you want the yearly and monthly figures in the product, not only in this article.
