The first countable histogram is the fade

The first countable histogram is the fade — first-countable-histogram-is-the-fade__S-cover.png

The rule was written before Start. The first countable closed histogram ended the sitting.

Direct answer

This is one finished Training sitting on BarionQuant Desktop 0.1.4. BTCUSDT, H1, File/csv sample. Session dates 2025-08-01 → 2025-08-07 UTC.

Before any Step I wrote the fade rule: closed bars only. MACD histogram bars before bar 35 do not count (EMA 26 plus signal 9). When the first countable histogram is shorter than the previous closed histogram, the sitting ends.

Bar 35, 2025-08-02 10:00, printed overlay MACD 813.5 and Signal 776.7. Histogram 36.8. The previous closed bar, 09:00, printed 809.8 and 764.8. Histogram 45.0. 36.8 is shorter. Fade. End Training. No ticket. Size stayed 0.1. RSI was not on the workspace. Missing window, no disagreement.

The notes this sitting follows are already public: After the close, is the bar getting longer or shorter and When RSI and MACD disagree, I pass. This page is the record, not a second copy of those notes.

The sitting ended on that 10:00 bar. The desk picture is that fade bar. Thirty-five candles sit on the left. The catalog for that File/csv H1 row listed 8760 bars. The sitting did not walk the rest of the year.

Histogram height on this sitting is overlay MACD minus Signal. The green columns in the pane clip near 500 while the MACD line is above 800. Those clipped columns are not the height I used.

Where the data came from

Desktop 0.1.4, signed in, Status Ready. Data Center, BTCUSDT H1, source File/csv. Catalog row 2025-01-01 → 2025-12-31, 8760 H1 bars, quality skipped 0. This sitting used the 2025-08-01 → 2025-08-07 window of that row.

The equity bar showed PRO. The tape is still the File/csv BTCUSDT H1 sample. Free can run this sitting. Windows. Not Mac. Not a browser replay.

This tape is not the EURUSD H1 Free week used in the first sitting. It is not the 1 Jan 2025 hours used in the swing sitting. A June 2025 window on this same file was discarded after Play ran the week.

The rule, copied before Start

I wrote these three sentences before the first Step.

1. Size stays 0.1. Do not change it. Do not open Trade → New Order. Do not open Indicators. 2. Read closed bars only. MACD histogram bars before bar 35 do not count (EMA 26 plus signal 9). When the first countable histogram bar is shorter than the previous closed histogram bar, record a fade and end the sitting. 3. RSI is not on this workspace. Do not add it. There is no disagreement to resolve.

Size for this sitting: 0.1, the account default. I did not change it. I did not open Indicators. I did not open Trade → New Order. I did not press Play.

What happened

Thirty-five closed hours. Histogram values before bar 35 are on the overlay. They do not count as the fade under this rule. Bar 35 is the first bar that counts. It was already shorter than bar 34. That is the fade the rule named. I ended Training.

Session complete: Trades 0, result +0.00. There was no ticket to close. The fade is the bar, not a broker exit on an order. The complete dialog also said 34 bars covered. The status bar at End read 35 bars.

The workspace already showed MACD(12, 26, 9). I did not open the Indicators menu to put it there. RSI is not on the chart. A missing pane is not a disagreement. The red SELL and green BUY numbers on the quote strip are the spread. They are not a filled order.

Went well: wrote the closed-bar fade rule before Start. First countable histogram 36.8 shorter than previous closed 45.0. Size stayed 0.1. No New Order. RSI missing, no disagreement.

Mistakes: clicked the quote BUY by accident. Confirm One-Click Buy 0.100 BTC at market came up. Escape cancelled it. No fill. Histogram height is overlay MACD minus Signal, not the clipped pane columns.

Next plan: keep this closed-bar MACD compare on unread Free tape. Do not add RSI just to force a disagreement. Stay off Play.

When this sitting does not count

It does not count if the first countable histogram stays longer than the previous closed bar for the whole seven-day window. It does not count if size changes mid-sitting. It does not count if the fade rule is rewritten after that shorter bar has already printed. It does not count if the right side of the tape was visible before the first Step. It does not count if Trade → New Order was opened. It does not count if Play ran the week.

None of those happened here. The quote Confirm was cancelled. A fade on the first countable bar is still a sitting.

This page does not tell you to walk the file yourself. There is no attached .bqproj. This sitting is not a 150-day Blind session.

Who should skip

Skip this page if you wanted a live MACD buy or sell, or a lot that survives a prop contract.

Skip it if you wanted a winning sitting, or a file you can double-click.

Skip it if you have not read After the close, is the bar getting longer or shorter and When RSI and MACD disagree, I pass. The fade compare and the missing-pane pass live there.

The first public sitting used a range rule on EURUSD: The first H1 range is the stop. The second used a swing-outer rule on a different BTCUSDT window: The first swing high is the line.

Next step

Download the Windows build. Pull a File/csv H1 sample you have not already stepped. Write the first countable closed histogram compare before you look for a later fade.
