Six months of minutes, or a candle that already closed

Not enough Bar Replay history is a plan limit. The other limit is a higher-timeframe candle that already knows its close.
Direct answer
TradingView Bar Replay does not give every plan the same 1-minute past. Not enough historical data, on this feature, means the minute window stops where the plan stops.
On their help page, captured 2026-09-21, Essential is 6 months of 1-minute data. Plus is 1 year of 1-minute data. Raise the interval and the window grows with it: their table shows Essential at 15 minutes as 90 months, and Plus at 15 minutes as 15 years.
Premium, Expert, and Ultimate can play time-based history as far as that symbol exists in their storage. Continuous futures are metered separately on that same page. The 6-month and 1-year figures are the ordinary intraday limits. Ultimate also gets tick replay, limited to the last 7 days.
A second limit sits next to the depth. Traders on r/TradingView still report that if you replay a lower timeframe and then switch up, the higher-timeframe candle is the finished one — high, low, and close included. Their July 2024 sync post is about a different control: all charts in a layout, where a larger interval waits for the smaller one. That post does not say a single chart hides the rest of the higher-timeframe candle. We did not click through a paid TradingView account on 2026-09-21 to re-stage it. The reports run from May 2024 through August 2025.
BarionQuant is a Windows training desk. Download, sign in, pull Free EURUSD. No TradingView field. A paid seat includes the replay handbook. We do not ship their chart library, Pine, a Mac build, or a browser replay. We also do not claim a partial higher-timeframe candle. If that unfinished candle is the only thing you need fixed, this page will not sell it to you.
If the question is whether to leave the charting site at all, read the published article “Stay on the chart you live in — or leave for a training desk.” This page is only the wall inside Bar Replay.
How to judge
How far back do you need 1-minute bars?
Daily replay is the generous case. Their help page says daily and daily-based intervals use the data already on the chart. Intraday is the metered case. The same page’s formula is “now, back 6 months, times the interval in minutes” on Essential, and one year on Plus. Their pricing grid the same day lines up: minute history listed as 180 days, 365 days, then All.
If your drills fit inside that window, pay them for the chart you already like. If the drill is “more 1-minute forex than Essential allows, without buying the next chart tier,” the meter is the reason you are here.
When the start you pick is older than the plan allows, they say Bar Replay jumps to the first available bar. Switch from a high interval down to 1 minute and you can also hit “Data point unavailable,” because the higher interval still had bars and the lower one did not. That message is their depth wall, not a broken mouse.
Will you change timeframe in the middle of a replay?
If you stay on one interval until the session ends, the spoiler does not come up. The complaint shows up when the method needs a higher timeframe mid-session.
Indexed posts, read 2026-09-21, describe the same move. In May 2024 a trader wrote that after a switch, the higher-timeframe bars are the final bars, so the close is visible. In January 2025 another wrote that the higher-timeframe bar is filled with the historical high, low, and close instead of the partial candle. In August 2025 a third stopped a 15-minute replay at 10:10 and saw the full 4-hour candle. A reply on that thread says the workaround is several charts in one layout. Their own sync announcement matches that workaround: larger intervals wait until the smaller interval has printed enough bars. A weekly bar waits for seven daily bars, in their example.
We will not tell you which comment is still true on every symbol today. We will say the decision: if your method requires flipping one chart up and down without seeing the rest of the candle, Bar Replay has a published sync mode for layouts and a pile of unanswered single-chart requests. Do not treat a blog as a patch note.
Is the chart plan the classroom?
TradingView is strong when the chart is the point: many markets, drawings, a replay button on the workspace you already open, and — once you pay — more minute depth. Keep it for that.
A training desk is the other classroom. One Windows window, a sign-in that is not a chart subscription, Free EURUSD to start, and a handbook on the paid seat. You lose their multi-asset screen, their community scripts, and the long minute archive Premium already stores. You also lose any hope that this article upgraded their candle. It did not.
What we do
The site is the method shelf. The desktop is where you rehearse. Practice first. The software is the desk.
On 2026-09-21 the download page says install, sign in, pull EURUSD. Windows build 0.1.0. It does not ask for a TradingView login.
Pricing the same day, Monthly toggle: Free $0/mo, Standard $15/mo, Pro $29/mo. The Yearly toggle showed $150/yr and $290/yr. Paid plans on that page say to sign in before buying. The handbook ships with the seat. There is no separate course SKU.

Honest comparison
Depth and the timeframe switch only. TradingView numbers are from their Bar Replay help page and pricing grid on 2026-09-21. Dollar prices for their plans are a different article.
- 1-minute depth. TradingView: Essential 6 months, Plus 1 year, Premium and above the stored history for that symbol. BarionQuant: a local session. We do not match their minute archive.
- Raise the interval. Their table: Essential 15-minute goes to 90 months; Plus 15-minute goes to 15 years. That is still their data, on their plan.
- Switch timeframe on one chart. Traders report the higher-timeframe candle arrives already closed. Their layout sync makes larger intervals wait. We do not sell a partial higher-timeframe candle here.
- Daily bars. They say daily replay uses the daily data on the chart. If that is all you replay, you are not hitting the minute wall.
- Tick replay. Ultimate: last 7 days. We do not offer that.
- Platform. They run in the browser and in their own apps. We are Windows only. No Mac. No in-browser replay.
- Broker. Their chart can connect to a broker. Replay itself is not the broker. We take no deposit and hold no custody.
TradingView, said plainly: if the workspace is the classroom and the plan already covers the minutes you drill, stay. The sync layout is their answer to multi-chart time. Do not rip it out because a blog prefers another window.
BarionQuant, said plainly: we only fit when the minute meter, or the finished higher-timeframe candle, is a constraint you will not solve by paying the next chart tier. We lose Pine, the phone app, their symbol list, and the long stored minutes.
Who should skip
Skip us if:
- You only replay daily bars and their daily history is enough.
- Your plan already includes the 1-minute span you use, and you never change timeframe mid-replay.
- You want Pine, many markets on one screen, or a phone.
- You are on Mac and will not use Windows.
- You want a partial higher-timeframe candle and you are shopping for that feature. We are not listing it.
- You want this page to name a pair or a click. We will not.
Skip Bar Replay’s intraday mode if 6 months or 1 year of 1-minute data is the wall, and you will not buy the tier that removes it.

FAQ
Is this the same article as the TradingView comparison?
No. That one decides whether the chart site stays your classroom. This one is what breaks inside Bar Replay: minute depth, and a higher timeframe that shows a finished candle.
Is Bar Replay free?
Their pricing grid includes a Bar Replay row, and the minute-history row is where the plans diverge. The help page we shot starts the intraday clock at Essential and Plus. We are not going to invent a Basic checkbox the screenshot does not settle. If you need a long 1-minute past, read the depth table, not a “free replay” headline.
Does Premium stop the higher-timeframe spoiler?
Premium changes how far back time-based data goes. It is not, in their sync post, a promise that one chart will draw a partial higher-timeframe candle. The posts asking for that fix are about the candle, not about running out of months. More minutes do not close a candle that already printed its high.
Do I need a broker account to practice on BarionQuant?
No. Sign in on our side and pull Free EURUSD. We are not a broker. Nothing on the download page opens a trading account.
Is this a signal?
No. A limit on someone else’s replay, and a desktop you can rehearse on. Not a pair. Not a click. Not a place to deposit.
Next step
If the minute wall or the finished higher-timeframe candle is why you are looking past Bar Replay, use the Download BarionQuant button on this page and start on Free EURUSD. Open pricing after the desk is the thing you want.
If the chart you already pay for is the classroom, stop here and stay on TradingView. If you are deciding whether to leave that classroom, read “Stay on the chart you live in — or leave for a training desk.”
