Gold on the chart is practice — not a gold account
If you searched XAUUSD replay or gold chart replay, the dangerous mix-up is treating a training chart like a funded metals account.
Direct answer
XAUUSD replay on your machine is still practice software. Candles, Play/Step, and paper Buy/Sell do not open a gold trading account, do not take deposits, and do not route live orders. That is true whether the symbol on the chart is EURUSD or gold.

How to judge
Three standards before you trust any “gold replay” tab.
1. Does anyone ask for trading deposits or custody? A training seat sells software time and handbook depth. A broker sells (or arranges) an account that can hold money and send live tickets. If checkout wants you to fund a trading wallet, you left the practice path.
2. Is the session simulated — including spreads and gaps you see on gold? Replay can feel fast on XAU. That speed is why people practice it. It still does not model every live fill, and it does not predict the next live week. Read Risk (/en/legal/risk): simulated training; past paper results do not predict future outcomes; FX and precious metals carry substantial risk of loss when you trade live elsewhere.
3. Does the Free tier actually include the symbol you came for? Our anonymous Pricing page on 2026-09-18 said Free for EURUSD; Standard/Pro list 9 symbols. If you need gold on the seat, plan for a paid unlock — do not invent a Free XAU promise from a homepage mock chart.

A Lab desktop capture shows local session chrome. On-chart Buy/Sell is paper simulation — the same rule if your paid seat later shows gold.
Honest comparison
Browser gold simulators (for example Candlune’s public site on 2026-09-18) win when you want a tab, a free gold demo, and explicit “paper trading only / no real money” marketing. Keep them if the browser is the classroom. They are not our Windows desk.
Broker gold demos win when you need that broker’s ticket UI and today’s live tape. Keep them for platform homework — not for pretending the demo is risk-free forever.
Chart-site Bar Replay on a gold symbol wins inside the chart you already pay for. Leave when you want files and sessions on a dedicated PC.
