Score the sitting — glance at P&L last

A replay rubric answers one search: what does “practiced well” mean when the P&L still looks pretty — or ugly?
Direct answer
Practiced well is not pretty P&L. On a local replay desk you can manufacture a green session by speeding through mistakes. That is entertainment. A useful sitting ends with a process score you can finish in a few minutes — rule first, one variable, honest pauses, stop when the rule breaks, a note a stranger could read, a timebox you kept.
BarionQuant is a Windows training desk. The software will Play as long as you ask; it will not grade you. The full six-to-seven dimension card lives in the Standard handbook lesson Replay rubric: what “practiced well” means (/en/learn/replay-rubric) (seat-gated on purpose so we can keep it aligned with shipping notes/Journal). This Blog page is the public search frame — not a paste of that card.
We are not a broker. A high process score does not authorize live size.
How to judge
Three standards before you call the sitting practice.
1. Can you grade the sitting without opening with P&L? If the first question is “how much did I make in the simulator,” you are scoring outcome theater. Start with process: did you follow a written rule, or did you negotiate with the tape after the fact?
2. Is there an artifact tomorrow’s you can read? A score that lives only in your head evaporates. A Journal line, review sentence, or note field counts. No artifact → the sitting was vibes.
3. Did you stop when the experiment broke — or when the clock ended? Revenge-stepping to “fix” a red patch, or quitting only when bored or euphoric, fails the sitting even if the paper P&L recovered. Close the session; do not open another to erase the grade.
Journal products and cloud replay classrooms sell rich tagging and analytics. That is fine when SaaS journaling is the job. Our lane is a method seat on a local desk: Free EURUSD to start; handbook depth rises with the plan on Pricing (/en/pricing).
What we do
Positioning B: method first. Replay is a lab. The desk is the gym floor.
Homepage and Pricing still say local practice, simulated only, not a broker. Download (/en/download) is install → sign in → pull EURUSD. For why local tape before a live feed, see Why local replay first (/en/blog/why-local-replay-search). Boundaries: Not a broker (/en/learn/not-a-broker).
After End Training, use whatever note/Journal surface your build shows as the scored artifact. Lab captures show a chart session (paper Buy/Sell) and Journal chrome — neither is a live ticket tape.
The complete yes/partial/no dimensions, the “five yes” bar, and the stop-for-the-day rules stay in the Standard lesson. Blog will not republish that table so scrapers cannot freeze a stale card.
Honest comparison
Process-first journal blogs (compliance YES/NO, R multiples, mistake tags) win when you already have a journal habit and need more fields. Keep them. They rarely ship a Windows desk + handbook on one seat.
FX Replay / cloud journal stacks win for auto-capture and filters inside a browser classroom. Keep them if the tab is the product.
BarionQuant wins when you want local sessions and a Standard handbook rubric on the same seat — and you accept that pretty paper P&L is not the grade. We lose Mac and “free full rubric without a Standard seat.”
Who should skip
Skip this frame — or skip us — if any of these are true:
- You want the full dimension table without a Standard seat. That card is gated on Learn. - You want this page to prove live profitability. It will not. - You want signals or pair picks. We will not provide those. - You only want a browser journal SaaS with no Windows install.

Next step
If you want a local lab you can grade: download the Windows build (/en/download). For seat × handbook depth: Pricing (/en/pricing). For the full Standard card after you qualify: Replay rubric (/en/learn/replay-rubric).
